___

Check the weather reports. You may need a tent, you can rent or borrow, if you don't have one of your own. Some use them for shade protection. May need to bring cinder blocks to help hold structure in place if it's a windy day.

___

Set the grill up on one end away from where you will sit and check for wind directions too.  If you brought games like bean bag toss or washers, etc, set them up away from grill area and food table to prevent accidents.

___

When parking try to park with your tailgate or trunk facing the area you will tailgate, so your trunk or tailgate is accessible. This can be tricky sometimes in double parking lines, just tell the attendant you want to back in and they are usually obliging.
