DECORATING
IDEAS |

|
|
Table
Decor |
Indoor Decor |
Outdoor Decor |
Start
with out
MLB
tableware
and vinyl MLB
table cover.
At each place setting, slide napkins
through ring of
baseball keychain. Add a
baseball mug
or
sports bottle
and a
Baseball
cap to each place setting.
Add a
baseball photo character for a
centerpiece. Feature the birthday child or favorite team player with it.
For
an America's Favorite past time theme, mix the baseball theme items in
with our
Patriotic
paper goods. Use red,
white and blue balloons. Don't forget the
apple pie!
To be true to your teams colors, try one
of our
Colorful Schemes. |
Greet your guest with a baseball party zone sign!
Place
posters of baseball players or your favorite team around the party
room. Cut out small circles, decorate like
baseballs and hang from the ceilings on curling ribbon in the color of
your favorite team.
Make balloon bunches with a baseball
Mylar above and 4 latex
balloons in your favorite team colors
or use
red, white and blue balloons. Use our
gold or silver star balloon weights.
You can also use baseball trophies you or your child have for balloon
weights. Don't forget our
baseball
piñata, you can hang it for
decoration too! |
Welcome your guests
with this photo yard sign!
If
your party includes playing a game of ball in the back yard or at a
local park, decorate outside with balloons. Tie them to
fences. If at a park with a fencing, run streamers
through the fence holes. If
you don't have a fence, tie balloons in bunches and use our
gold or silver star balloon weights. |

Play
a game of baseball |
Rent a batting cage for 1-2 hours
(recommended for birthdays of children older than 9), then head to a local
pizza parlor to finish off the party. |
Invite a few friends and go to a Major or
Minor League baseball game. |

Peanuts,
Get Your Peanuts! |

Hall

Of
course, you'll need some great ball park peanuts in their shells and
several of our plastic
baseball
hat. Divide guest into pairs. One partner
gets a bowl of peanuts and the other partner gets the baseball cap.
Separate the Throwers from the Catchers by several feet. The distance
between the two lines should be guided by the age of the children. Ages 4-
6 about 6ft, ages 7-9, about 9 ft and 12 ft for ages 10 & up.
Now the object is to catch as many peanuts as you can into your baseball
cap. Each team should be given the same number of peanuts to throw. You
can make it more challenging by adding a time limit like "Who can
catch the most in 15 seconds."
Important:
Please make that no party guests are allergic to peanuts. If so,
substitute Circus Peanuts (orange marshmallow like candies). |
Outdoor
Version: Use a baseball field diamond and if bases are not marked use
throw-down bases.
Indoor Version: Use throw-down bases indoors. If
using on a rug you may need to tape down corners for the bases not to move
when walked on. Another idea is to use masking tape and mark out the bases
on a rug or floor.
Throw-Down Baseball Bases...Set Of 3 Bases & 1 Home Plate...Orange

For both versions, cut out 8 white circles. Decorate one
side like a baseball and on the other side write 1B, 2B, 3B, Home ( 2 for
each). Put them into one our baseball caps to draw from.
Okay, put on some great baseball music (see party
supplies below for music) and have the kids walk around the bases, similar
to musical chairs. When the music stops they must stand on the nearest
base. More than one child can be on a base. Now, draw a card. Everyone on
that base is OUT!
The other kids continue playing. When you are down to 4
or less players, then only one player can be on a base when the music
stops. This will allow you to eliminate down to one WINNER! |
This
game is for children ages 8 and up. Divide the group into two teams, HOME
and VISITORS. Each team is given a list of Hall of Fame Baseball Players
and Nicknames for these players. The object is to match the nickname to
the correct Hall of Fame Player.
Click
here for a list
of Hall of Fame members. Then click on a player to get his info and nick
name.
